About

The Mediterranean Worlds (MEDWORLDS) is a series of academic events that commenced in 2009. It aims at being a forum for professional academic exchange by bringing together international academics working in various fields of inquiry devoted to the study of the Mediterranean History. MEDWORLDS has an interdisciplinary and trans-regional orientation. Carefully selected themes of each event attempt to approach the long history of the Mediterranean through different perspectives and lenses. The forum is supported by The Mediterranean Seminar (University of Colorado, Boulder), The Mediterranean Knowledge: International Centre for Studies and  Research (University of Salerno), The Artship Foundation (San Francisco) and this year The Middle East and Africa Studies Application and Research Center-ORDAM (Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakif University).
